  DATELINE May Be Pre-Empted or Rescheduled!

  there will be an nba playoff game on nbc at 9:00 pm est.. this means that dateline will either be pre-empted or shown at 8:00 pm est.. according to my tv guide that i received in the mail yesterday, it is scheduled to come on at 10:00 pm est.. that would mean that it will be pre-empted.. however, tvguide.com shows dateline being scheduled to air at 8:00 pm est.. that would mean that it would air as scheduled.. so, since friday's (may 24) dateline will be the last show until tuesday (sunday's is pre-empted) they should announce at the end of the show what will be coming up for tuesday the 28th.. let's keep an eye on this.. the only thing definite is that it will not air at 10:00 pm est (for all you vcr-heads) on may 28.. my apologies, of course, if someone has already addressed this.

  As I mentioned, the printed TV Guides don't show the NBA game but I assure that there is definitely a game coming on at 9:00 that night.

  They must have printed the Guides before making the change.

  I figured that a lot of people would have done what you were going to do and they would have missed it altogether.

  I betcha that there will be some people who will overlook this thread and they will post on here first thing Wednesday morning asking how come the show never aired (because they were expecting it to come on at 10:00 when actually it aired at 8:00).

  Pre-empted means that another unscheduled program (for example, the Playoffs) airs instead of the show that would normally air in that time-slot.
  The game should be over at 9 or 9:30 (Pacific) and Dateline would probably air at 10:00 PM Pacific.

  On the East Coast, it probably will air BEFORE the game (because the game won't end until midnight over here in the East.
